It’s That Time Again
***Disclaimer: I got this idea from Pinterest, an exercise where you write a 20 word sentence, then a 19 word sentence, and so on, ending the story with one word.***

I think I can say with utmost certainty that fall is my favorite season ever; hands down, it’s the best.
The first things you notice are football returning, and that unmistakable change in the air, that gentle cold breeze.
Pumpkin spice is back, and it’s available in as many places and forms that you can possibly consume.
Once my initial festive coffee of the season is purchased, so are all the fall-themed candles.
The beloved decor comes out of its boxes, and the playlist and movie lineup is chosen.
There’s cozy books and warm blankets, fiery leaves and full moons, hoodies and fall festivals.
There’s pumpkin carving and trick-or-treating, and there’s the first pot of chili.
There’s parties and costumes, punch and candy, an anniversary for me in November.
All manner of seasonal and spooky things abound; I want it all.
My loved ones put up with me this time of year.
But I wouldn’t have it any other way, no way.
I’m planning to have fun from fall to winter.
And afterwards I’ll pack it all away again.
I’ll fold the blankets, pack the hoodies.
Buy winter candles, unpack Christmas decorations.
But not anytime soon, though.
For now, it’s fall.
Everything is autumn.
I’m ecstatic.
Enamored.
