01/14/2026: Blindfolds On, Hearts of Stone
I know I said in my last post that we should do less doomscrolling and focus on ourselves more, but after the whirlwind of events that have unfolded around the country and around the world since then, I think I’ve quickly changed my tune.
I am truly shocked at the goings on, or rather, the current catastrophes that are unfolding by the hour, and it’s hard to keep it all straight. But the things I know for certain are: it was MURDER, plain and simple; ICE needs to go; we absolutely do not need to interfere in countries where we don’t belong; and we definitely don’t need Greenland.
Despite what is being said, it wasn’t self-defense. Kidnapping another country’s leader under the guise of drugs when it’s really about oil is definitely a war crime. It’s not our place to interfere with Iran where Americans are at risk of being retaliated against. And NATO is a hell of a lot more important than invading a territory that will literally tear apart all alliances we’ve built with other nations. But no one is asking for the opinions of the regular folk. We’ll be suffering the consequences on the world elites’ behalf though, make no mistake.
I think for now, the outright murder of an innocent American citizen is all I have the bandwidth to comprehend, and the more I think about it, the angrier I become. Renee’s last words were calm and in no way hostile: “...I’m not mad at you.” And Ross’s first words after killing her were “f*cking b*tch.” Even without the extra footage, I already knew who was at fault in this situation. It’s because of these federal terrorists who were given guns and jurisdiction beyond the limitations of the law that we find ourselves here.
Now they’re flooding our streets and harassing innocent people, bringing physical and now fatal harm to neighbors, teenagers, and mothers. I’ve heard it said, and I agree wholeheartedly: most people won’t understand until it happens to them. And one day, when it’s either them or their mother, then maybe they’ll understand.
It’s truly a travesty that that’s what it would take for most people to stop airing out their ignorant bias on social media, to stop calling ICE’s actions just, and to stop calling people like Renee Good a domestic terrorist. I can’t believe that despite what our eyes are seeing, people can still choose to believe in a false narrative with unwavering conviction. We’re in the days of the tantrum-throwing tyrant and his loyal following, with their blindfolds on and their hearts of stone. And it’s already too late to escape it. Fascism is alive and well in America, and it’s going to take us all down if we let it.
I heard someone say that we’ve tried the peaceful way, and it’s time for a different approach. And I 100% agree. So don’t wait until the ballot box to cast a voiceless vote. Don’t sit back and watch as the world burns. Protect your cities, protect your neighbors. Use your voice, and please remember now more than ever that there is strength in numbers. They can’t take all of us if we stand strong together.
Make them scared. Let them be outnumbered, make them leave our cities, and never turn that video camera off, no matter who says it’s illegal to record federal agents breaking the law. Because it’s actually not illegal. And without evidence, they can say whatever they want, more so than they already are even with cold hard evidence to the contrary of what the current political narrative is. That’s why it’s so important to not only know your rights, but to also know theirs, so they can’t lie to you in order to commit illegal acts against you or your fellow neighbors.
Remember people like Renee Good for who she was: a kind, innocent person with a life that was stripped away unjustly and without empathy because a guy got his feelings hurt and got trigger happy in a suburban neighborhood in Minneapolis. Remember the injustice that was done here, and don’t stop fighting until it’s made right. If they won’t remember her, we will.
May we never get caught alone without a camera, and may we always defend what is right in this world, no matter who tells us it’s wrong. Never stop exercising your rights as an American, because that’s what they want. They want us to just comply, or else. And that’s not how basic human rights work. Understanding the law on both sides is the first step to understanding the truth. Stay informed, keep gathering, and stay safe.
Enough is enough. And it’s time to fight back.
