09/19/2025: What They’re Doing, Not What They’re Saying
As expected, the other shoe has dropped. Now they’re doing everything in their power to divide us even further, with their emotionally charged words and the war they’ve declared on those who disagree—even those who tell the honest truth.
What can we even say anymore that won’t lead to some manner of consequences? How on earth did we get here? I have an answer, but I don’t think it’s a popular opinion, and even if it is the truth, apparently that isn’t a guarantee that I won’t be punished for saying it these days. But I guess I should say my piece while I still can. If I still can.
I’m not usually one to comment on political matters—at least I used to be that way—but when I do it comes from a human place, and it’s not about right or left; it’s about morals. The irony doesn’t escape me that saying politics and morals in the same sentence is contradicting, but I want to believe that I’m not the only one who wants to see a change for the better, a wake up call from this hellscape we’ve found ourselves in.
I knew that the storm was coming after the horrific events of a week ago. I knew that when I listened to the news, people would be saying terrible things about the opposing side, wrongfully pointing fingers and spreading more unnecessary hate. But it doesn’t make me less angry. Because it’s not right to spin words to fit a false narrative. It’s not right to silence people for telling the truth, when it paints tyrants in a bad light—or, in all honesty, shows the world who they really are. It’s not right to condemn groups that practice their right to free speech and peaceful protest. I could go on, but it goes without saying that nothing is right right now.
Or maybe the problem is that everything is “right” right now, if that makes any sense to anyone but me. I think somewhere along the way, “the left” became synonymous with “wrong,” and now the fight for what’s “right” (or conservative) or “wrong” (or liberal) has taken on a whole new meaning. Even though the right is doing a lot of that wrong, the left is the scapegoat. It’s a blanket judgment based on labels, and it’s a blatant taking of sides based on feelings, not facts. It’s what they want, and the plan is coming together flawlessly.
At the end of the day, I want to preserve my right to live the way I want and say what I want. I don’t want to pick a camp or a hill to die on; I want to do what’s right for the better good. And what I really want, above all else, is for people to stop consuming this fearmongering slop and to start paying attention to what the most powerful people in the world are doing, not what they’re saying—even if what they’re saying is equally problematic (You’ve heard the saying “actions speak louder than words”, right?)
Because while you’re distracted and busy being angry and afraid of fake news, they’re taking a tragic event and using it to further their twisted agendas. They’re passing laws that imprison us further and bring us closer and closer to what this country might soon come to refer to as the end of life as we know it.
So please. Put your judgment and fear aside and don’t just listen.
Watch.
And learn the truth.
And when you do, shout it out loud. Let the whole world know that we won’t give up our right to share our views and to kill lies at their source. That as humans—not just Americans—we renounce petty tyrants, shameless fascists, and lying bullies.
